Alaska - le Pavlof en éruption - alerte rouge !

Après une montée en puissance le 31 mai (alerte aviation orange / niveau Watch), le niveau de trémor du Pavlof a augmenté le 2 juin à 15h, passant en alerte aviation rouge / niveau alert.

Des pilotes signalent l’éruption et un panache montant à 6.700 mètres, avant de s’étendre vers l’est sur 80 km.

The low-level eruption of Pavlof has escalated. Seismic tremor increased starting about 2300 UTC today and pilots have recently reported ash clouds to 22,000 ft. ASL. Recent satellite images show a plume extending over 80 km east of the volcano
High and low altitude pilots and marine traffic should continue to monitor this situation.
The Anchorage National Weather Service will send advisories or alerts if ash is expected to impact Alaska communities.
