Forte explosion au Sakurajima.

Le Sakurajima, situé dans la baie de Kagoshima /  Kyushu au Japon, a connu ce 21 mai 2015 une forte éruption explosive aux environs de 10h20. Selon l’Observatoire météorologique de Kagoshima, le panache émis au niveau du cratère Showa est monté à 4.300 mètres.

L’éruption et la dispersion du panache ont été photographiée par la satellite Landsat 8 peu de temps après, vers 10h46.

Le volcan Sakurajima est en activité permanente depuis octobre 1955.

Sakurajima, located in Kagoshima Bay / Kyushu in Japan, saw this 21.05.2015 a strong explosive eruption at about 10:20. According to the Meteorological Observatory Kagoshima, the plume emitted at the Showa crater rose to 4,300 meters.
The eruption and plume dispersion were photographed by the Landsat 8 shortly after, around 10:46.
