After a new issue of ashes on September 25 at 1:53 p.m. in the form of a plume above 400 meters, the Telica / Nicaragua presented on September 26, 2015 an explosion qualified of medium intensity, accompanied by a shock wave and a plume of ash 600 meters high. The ash affected some twenty communities around the volcano, mainly Los Angeles and Quezalguaque in the León department.

The Volcanological Observatory of Manizales reported a significant thermal anomaly in the vicinity of Arenas crater of Nevado del Ruiz / Columbia this September 26, following the review of the volcano images and those transmitted by the portal Mirova, and confirmed the instability of the volcano.
This instability, that has lasted ten months, resulting in multiple emissions of ash, volcanic tremor, degassing with high concentrations of sulfur dioxide and a volcano deformation process.
