The IG has posted pictures of the summit and its glaciers, affected by the volcanic activity, as I said in the previous article on the Cotopaxi. (note that this information has been put online until 24 .09 evening)
The overflight of 22 September revealed further fracturing of the upper parts of the glaciers, and the terminal glacial tongues on the northern and western flanks of the volcano, in relation to the glacier albedo changes.
An increase in the melting of the base of glaciers, due to the arrival of hot fluids on the surface, result in drainage of these waters, whose volume could fuel the formation of secondary lahars.

Several landslides have been seen inside and outside of the crater. The increase of the fumerolian activity of the volcano is also marked by the presence of more sites with greenish yellow deposits, possibly sulfur, located primarily on the east and south sides, in the south of the summit and on the internal circular glacier, of which a great part has disappeared.

All of these abnormalities have not been measured with the thermal camera due to a persistent cloudiness. Highest TMA / maximum effective temperature value was 35.3 ° C, corresponding to those of the side fumerolian field. (photo in the previous article)
Lesser values were measured inside the crater, that may result from reflection due to gaseous emissions, and on the south side, almost permanently covered by clouds.
