During yesterday, the eruption of Fuego continued in Guatemala, with the outpouring of lava supplying three lava flows towards the ravines of Santa Teresa, Trinidad and Las Lajas.
The explosions were accompanied by plumes of ash and gas rising to an altitude of 5,000 meters, before moving westward on 15 km. Ash falls were reported on San Pedro Yepocapa, Morelia, Panimaché, Santa Sofía and Sangre de Cristo.
The eruption of Fuego stopped after 27 hours of activity ... the three lava flows should only be traced in the following days. The seismic station FG3 recorded the loss of seismic activity generated by explosions and tremor.

In Ecuador, the IG recorded September 2, 26 episodes of continuous tremor, 11 earthquakes LP, 3 Earthquake VT, and one of type VLPs in Cotopaxi.
During the morning, low emissions of steam lightly loaded with ash could be seen between the clouds. From 1:18 p.m. local, an eruptive plume ascended up to 4,000 meters, then is dispersed westward. Ash fallout are reported on Malachi, Aloasi and Chaupi and a slight smell of sulfur. Sulfur dioxide fumes reached 4,500 tons / day.
VTs earthquakes associated with fracturing rocks and VLPs earthquakes, associated with fluid movements in the pipe were recorded on 1 and 2 September, from 3 to 11 km below the summit; they suggest new magma injections at the base of the volcanic conduit.
