Explosion and ashes / gas plume from Telica - 09.23.2015 - photo Omar Alvarado / La Prensa

The Telica volcano presented this Wednesday, September 23 from 8:15 about several ashes explosions. The first lasted after 20 minutes, followed by two shorter, before a return to calm.

The explosions were accompanied by a large plume of ashes and gas rising from 400 to 500 meters depending on the source. According to INETER, the explosions could have been caused by the obstruction of the volcano's crater, following the eruptive activity of
may.

Ash fallout are reported on the northeastern and western of Nicaragua's volcano. Advice was given to the people by the COMUPRED /
Comité Municipal para la Prevención de Desastres, recalling the precautions to be taken by ash fall.
