On the morning of the forty third day of eruption, the eruption continues at Piton de la Fournaise; On october 5, weather conditions over the volcano are good, but deterioration is expected during the day.

The level of activity is comparable to that recorded in previous days (see detailed newsletter of October 2).

The thermal anomaly detected by Mirova is described as "very high".

News from La Fournaise, Tungurahua, Cotopaxi and Sindoro volcanoes.

In Ecuador, an explosion marked the Tungurahua on October 4, 2015, at 13h, of low intensity but noisy; it follows the show from 10 am of a plume of steam and gas containing a little ash. The altitude of the plume could not be determined because of the cloud cover. Ash fallout are reported on El Manzano, Chonglontus and Cahuají.

The situation is unchanged at Cotopaxi.

Vapor emissions were observed this October 4, 2015 at Gunung Sindoro (Sundoro), in the center of the island of Java, near the Dieng plateau.

The last eruption of this stratovolcano dates back to 1971. It is topped by a small lava dome in the summit crater, where many phreatic explosion vents are placed on a crack intersecting the dome and the crater rim.
