After five days of rest, the third phase of the eruption of August 24 began yesterday. Here is the report of the day OVPF detailing the events:

" Since October 29 4:00 p.m. we have a clear increase in the background noise (which we interpret as a residual tremor).

From about 4H tjis morning, the tremor is again became continuous and relatively strong.

Just like the previous episode, the recovery was achieved without magmatic intrusion. The conduit is most likely remained open between the two events, with a gas flow that has maintained the background noise. The increase in gas flow and pressure has resulted the arrival of new  magma in surface.

At present we have not observed flow of lava flows but only the presence of projection. "

The recorded signals show that the activity is concentrated again at the crater that formed early in the eruption, or near the Rivals crater in the southwestern part of the enclosure Fouqué.
