In Mexico, an explosion of Popocatepetl was accompanied by a plume of ash more than 2,000 meters above the crater, this January 18th at 11h58.
This explosion followed 118 low intensity exhalations over the past 24 hours, three explosions at respectively on 17.01 at 20:39, and on 18.01 at 01:02 and 01:49, and an episodic nocturnal glow.
The Amarillo alert Fase 2 is maintained.

In Bromo, the eruption continues, with on January 18 at 6:59, a plume raised to 1,800 meters, according to the PVMBG, before drifting into a large west-southwest sceteur.
The services of Agriculture of Probolingo specify to Antara news that Bromo ash fall today affect an area of 2604 hectares of crops in the sub-districts of Sukapara, and Sumber Lumbang.
The crops involved are potatoes, cabbage, cereals and tomatoes, and the impact on local agriculture has pushed up vegetable prices.
