The Bulusan experienced a minor phreatic eruption on February 22 at 17.10. She was accompanied by a short gray plume rising 500 meters above a fissure vent, NW side of the summit of the volcano; a high-frequency earthquake followed by another of low frequency during 4.32 minutes were recorded, and the rumbling of explosions (indicated by the Phivolcs in the number of two) were heard in various surrounding villages.
Low ash falls were reported on Juban and Irosin.

Despite an increase in seismicity the February 20 and 21, no volcanic earthquake was detected by seismographs of Bulusan.
This morning, only a low vapor transmission persists.

An overview of Chimborazo by a Franco-Ecuadorian team was conducted on Feb. 20 to determine the areas at risk of mudslides and rocks after the melting glaciers of the summit.

The results have just been published by the IGEPN: analysis of images taken with the infrared camera show no thermal anomaly on the upper flanks ... glacial melt is thus not linked to an increase in temperature surface due to volcanic activity.

At the glacier #13, a collapse of the central moraine caused the sudden discharge of water accumulated inside the glacier, causing landslides and mudslides affecting downstream communities . No thermal anomaly was observed in the area.

On the floodplain in the quebrada Yambo Rumi, the channel dug in the moraine by landslides and debris flows that occurred in recent days is observed.
