The Santiaguito has experienced this April 11 from 7:30 local, a loud explosion accompanied by pyroclastic flows towards the area of collapse due to the eruption of 9 May 2014, and a column of ash rising to 4,500 meters asl, moving over 30km towards WNW.

The Fuego continues its moderate to heavy explosions with plumes of ash amount to 4,600. - 4,800 meters asl, then drifting over 15 km to the west and southwest.
Ash fallout are reported on Santa Lucia Cotz, Yepocapa and the department of Chimaltenango. The seismic profile suggest a rise of magma that can lead to the sixth eruption of the year in terms of days or weeks.
