Etna has, since May 17, an increasing of  the amplitude of volcanic tremor, accompanied by infra-sound and seismic signals; it results in a strombolian activity northeast crater (NEC). This morning the ash emissions are continuous.

This is in addition to a low explosive activity at the new pit crater southeast crater (NSEC) since May 16, and during May 18

In the last 24 hours, Popocatépetl / in Mexico experienced 466 exhalations of low intensity, accompanied by gas and water vapor emissions, and occasionally small amounts of ash. Moreover, 41 minutes of harmonic tremor of low amplitude were recorded, and 10 explosions.

Despite varying visibility conditions, nocturnal glow was observed, more intense during exhalations

Guatemala's Santiaguito maintains a strong activity for a week ... at 9:21 on May 17, a strong eruption was accompanied by a plume rising to 4,500 meters asl, and pyroclastic flows down the Caliente dome on the southern flanks of more 2,000 meters long, with rumblings audible 20 kilometers.
The ash is moved on a west and south sector of over 40 km.

Heavy rainfall that marked the country in those days raise concerns of possible lahars.
