In Turrialba, eruptive activity continues with an average of three episodes per hour.

The eruption of May 4, at 4:04 p.m., generated an increased tremor, lasting an hour later. Meanwhile, three other eruptions were recorded, respectively at 16.35, 4:59 p.m. and 4:51 p.m.. The winds on the summit trained ashes eastward and southward, affecting monitoring instruments, seismometers and webcams.
Degassing continued meanwhile.

In the South Sandwich Islands, Landsat 8 reveals on 24.04 and 01.05.2016 an eruptive plume at Mount Sourabaya, a cone in Bristol island. The eruption would be of Strombolian type.

The last eruption took place in Bristol Island in January 1956 on the west side.

In Hawaii, thermal images show over the last 24 hours , a glow in the crater of Pu'u O'o and at the skylights of the lava tube located on its NE flank.

A small lava flow is indicated by the Observatory on 4 May starting at 3:15. The tiltmeters recorded an inflation followed by a sudden deflation, after the start of the lava flow. Seismicity remains low at Pu'u O'o.
