Masaya, which maintains an high activity for months, with a lava lake twitching, produced last June 1 an important light-colored plume of gas, which challenged the people close more familiar with sulfur and blue emissions, and a seismicity that has preemptively close the access to the volcano.

A seismic swarm marked the south of Managua ; according Ineter, it is not linked to Masaya but to the activity of faults, especially the "Falla del Aeropuerto".

In Costa Rica, from May 27 to 14 h, the RSN has recorded a sharp fall in the level of seismic activity of Turrialba, marked in recent days by small volcanic earthquakes of low frequency and harmonic tremor of low energy, associated with the movement of internal fluids.

Only steam come from the active crater; no more falling of ash or sulfur smell are recorded on the central Valle.
