In the Philippines, Bulusan was the seat of a hydrothermal eruption this June 10, 2016 at 11:35 local time. The episode lasted after 5 minutes, depending on the seismic recordings and produced a gray ash plume about 2,000 meters high, then drifting northwest.
The volcano alert level remains at 1, together with a permanent danger zone of 4 km radius strictly prohibited. Civil aviation has been advised not to fly near the Bulusan, as well as people, living in the valleys and drainages, of the possibility of lahars.
