After several days of explosive activity, Fuego entered on July 28 from 5:45 local in an effusive Strombolian phase.
Continuous explosions are accompanied by ash plumes, rising to 4800 meters before moving on a western sector of at least 15 km. Explosions generated shock waves, lava flows and small pyroclastic flows in the barranca Las Lajas.
At 6:40 local, the INSIVUMEH reports that the outpouring feeds two lava flows in the ravines Santa Teresa and Las Lajas, long of 500 to 1,000 meters. In his 21h local report, the new flow in the barranca Santa Teresa has a length of 1,000 meters, and that of the barranca Las Lajas advance of 1,500 meters, with avalanches of blocks.
Ash fallout are reported on Sangre de Cristo and San Pedro Yepocapa.

The OVPF published on July 28 a new report of activity for the Piton de la Fournaise, which I repeat below:
"Since the resumption of seismicity on July 13, 2016, the OVPF recorded a total of 163 shallow volcano-tectonic earthquakes (0 - 2 km away under the surface) below the summit craters; the two main peaks on July 19 (19 earthquakes) and 26 July (33 earthquakes), 18 local earthquakes (in the island) 226 collapses (in the Dolomieu Crater, at the bulwark of Enclos Fouque and the flow of August-October 2015).
A rise in inflation is recorded and continues at rates similar to those recorded before the eruptions of 2015 and 2016.
The average concentrations of hydrogen sulfide in the emanations of the summit are moderate increase since July 21.
Falls in concentration of carbon dioxide on distant stations, the Plaine des Cafres, could score deep magmatic transfer episodes to lower depths. This is in line with the recovery of seismicity and deformation. "

The aviation codes and volcanic alert of Pavlof volcano were raised to orange / Watch on July 28 at 19:55.
A vigorous degassing is observed from Cold Bay, 60 km south-west of Black Hills, 35 km north-northeast.
Satellite images show small amounts of ash associated with the vapor cloud at an altitude of 4,500 mètres. Seismicity remains high with periods of continuous tremor.
