The Bulusan / in the Philippines archipelago has experienced this October 17 at 7:36 a small phreatic eruption. The dirty white - gray plume originates from a vent located under the top on the south-east flank ; it reached a height of 1,000 meters. Based on the seismic data, the episode lasted over 24 minutes.

GPS measurement system indicates an inflationary trend since July 2016.
The volcano is still on alert level 1, indicating groundwater processes that can generate at any moment eruptions of phreatic type. The permanent danger zone, off limits, is of 4 km radius.
 
A previous event took place on October 7, 2016. An aerial inspection conducted by the Phivolcs and SPDRRMO allowed to photograph two steam vents on the upper flank southeast of Bulusan.
