A new eruptive phase began in Sabancaya / Peru.
After an increase of seismicity earlier this month, an explosion on November 6, 2016 at 08:40 p.m. local was accompanied by an emission of ash amount to 1,500 meters high and an earthquakes of 3,6ML; the emission of ash remains qualified of low intensity by OVI and moves south. The SO2 emissions increased from 400 to 7173 tons / day.
It is recommended to the authorities of the Colca Valley the implementation of the emergency plan and take appropriate actions (distribution of masks, protection of food and water)
