In Guatemala, the Fuego and the Pacaya show signs of activity.
The Fuego maintains a permanent degassing, with a plume rising to 4.300 meters asl. before a dispersion towards the west and the southwest. A slight incandescence is noted at the crater.
In Pacaya, where an important intracratric spatter cone formed, Insivumeh reported a white-to-blue degassing plume about 750 meters above the crater, before dispersing northward.
The seismicity reveals an internal tremor produced by the rise of magma and gas towards the surface.
