In Costa Rica, following an increase in gas emissions in the Poas, tourists had to be evacuated on Sunday afternoon and the national park closed.
This week, park officials limited the number of tourists entering the park at the same time, and reduced the visit time. A warning is given to them immediately to leave the viewpoints in case of respiratory problems.
Ovsicori reports an increase in gaseous emissions from 19 tonnes / day in late March to 180 tonnes / day on 4 April; 75% of the emanations come from the acid lake, the rest of the lava dome. The fumaroles reach a temperature of 90 ° C. and are rich in acid gases.

The explosive activity of phreatomagmatic type which daily marks the Nevados de Chillan complex has increased in energy.
