The activity of the Fuego is busy changing of eruptive pattern ... it could lead to the 4th paroxysm of the year if the trend of increase is confirmed.
At about 12: 00 on 4 May, the Insivumeh reported a lava flow in the Santa Teresa barranca, reaching 300 meters in length, associated with explosions at a rate of 5 to 7 per hour and a plume rising to 4,900 meters asl.
In its report of 4 May at 21.30, the observatory reported that the lava flow into the Santa Teresa barranca had reached 1,000 meters in length, and continued its advance. Another stream, 2,000 meters long, has been added in the barranca Las Lajas. The activity is accompanied by shock waves and locomotive sounds.
Ash falls are reported on Morella, Santa Sofia, Panimache, El Porvenir and San Pedro Yepocapa.
The risks of lahars are great given the current weather conditions in Guatemala.

Poas seismicity is characterized by a series of discrete LP and VT seismic events that have intervened in a low to moderate tremor. Small phreatic eruptions have been seen on the webcam, but with poor visibility.
The plume dispatches this 4th of May mainly towards the west.
Under current conditions, Ovsicori expects more eruptions in a short time.

A moderate activity continues in the Klyuchevskoy, with a plume of gas and steam, little loaded with ashes, rising to 5,000 meters asl, then drifting east for 82 km.
