After an ash emission from the south-eastern crater of Etna on 11 May, activity appears to be strengthening, with an increase in the magnitude of the tremor over more than five times during the last 36 hours, and brief strombolian activity at the Saddle vent of the SEC.
Each time, the activity has fallen ... What will be the evolution? Only Mount Etna has the answer.

A brief but strong explosion was recorded by the satellites on May 11 at 8:30 pm local time at the Sheveluch.
It was accompanied by a plume of ashes reaching 9,000-10,000 meters asl. The large cloud (115 x 70 km) has drifted to the northwest of the volcano, according to the Himawari-8 satellite data.
The level of aviation alert has turned red, before being retrograded to orange on May 12 at 1:19 loc. by the Vona / KVERT. A thermal anomaly is observed after this explosive event.
The VAAC Tokyo issues a Volcanic ash advisory on 13 May on an SO-S sector.
