At Piton de La Fournaise, the eruption continues. The intensity of the volcanic tremor has been relatively constant for 36 hours, with an intensity equivalent to that observed on the second day of the eruption.

The eruptive cone forming downstream of the eruptive crack continues its edification. At 11.30 am (local time), the cone always had an opening towards the east, with two main points of activity in its interior. The overflows of lava and flows from these two points merged in a single channel at the level of the opening of the cone.
A third active mouth is forming a small cone on the inner border of the main cone. (To the right of the picture above)
The projections of lava did not exceed about 20 meters of height on average.
A new camera has been installed, in partnership between the OVPF and IRT / Ile de La Réunion Tourisme, so that Internet users can enjoy the live show ... when the weather permits.
