In Mexico, Popocatépetl exhibited a strong vulcanian eruption on 5 October at 02:26 local, accompanied by an ejection of incandescent fragments 600 meters above the crater, which fell on its flanks for more than one kilometer, and a plume of ash rising to 2,000 meters above the summit.
VAAC Washington issued several advisories, stating that the ash plume stretched 28 km to the west, with a maximum altitude of 6.4 km.
The alert remains at amarillo fase 2, with an exclusion zone of 12 km.

The last bulletin of the Insivumeh reports an increase in the explosive activity of the Fuego.
Vulcanian explosions have become constant and are accompanied by plumes heavily loaded with ashes rising to about 5,000 meters asl before moving 20 km to the west and south.
The lava fountains reach 300 meters above the crater, and generate ballistic projections over 600 meters, and avalanches in the vicinity of the crater towards the barrancas Cenizas and Seca.
Due to the presence of a tropical depression, the rains could cause ashes already present and form lahars.

Agung - summary table of the seismicity on 05.10.2017 - doc. Magma Indonesia

At Agung, seismicity continues to fluctuate at high levels, with an average of 1-3 earthquakes per minute, nearly 600 / day,
Between September 24 and October 5, the number of superficial volcanic earthquakes is on the rise, indicating a high surface magmatic activity, and the pressurization of the volcano.
By 5 October, there were 319 VB volcanic earthquakes, 524 deep VA volcanic earthquakes and 75 local tectonic earthquakes.

The gas and vapor emanations produce small plumes reaching 50 - 200 meters above the edge of the crater.
The alert status was extended to October 15 (BNPB)

The information and prevention work of the BNPB is important and targets adults and children, who are sensitized via comics and smartphones,
