Sabancaya - Summary table of activity between 25 September and 1 October 2017 - doc.IGP / OVI / Ingemmet
The week in Sabancaya / Peru:
the rythm of the explosions is maintained as in the previous week, with an average of 45 explosions per day; the ash plumes reach a maximum height of 3,500 m above the crater before drifting to an eastern sector on 40 km max.
Positive vertical deformation is always recorded as well as a component to the west.
The flow of sulfur dioxide is important, with 3,700 tons / day max. Seismicity is dominated by LP earthquakes, in relation to fluid movements.
The level of alert remains in Naranja.
Note that the volcanoes Misti and Ubinas remains in alert level green.

In Chile, more than 600 earthquakes associated with fluid movements have been recorded on the Llaima volcano since 1 October at 9:00 am GMT. However, the alert level remains fixed at Verde by the Sernageomin.
For the record, since 1640, the Llaima has experienced 53 eruptions, the last one of VEI 3 lasting from 1 January 2008 to 12 June 2009 (GVP)

The eruption continues on Ambae volcano in Vanuatu. The Vanuatu Geohazards Observatory summarizes today the evolution of the activity:
The onset of the eruption corresponded to an explosive phase, which produced a large plume and local ash falls, and constructed a tuff cone.
The style of eruption changed around September 22 with an effusive phase, characterized by the appearance of lava on the surface.
The aerial observations of 30.09 and 01.10 show that the activity is limited to the summit crater of Lake Voui, marked by explosions and ejections of incandescent rocks similar to those observed at Yasur on Tanna Island.
A small scoria cone has formed and the number of vents changes regularly between 2 and 4. Lava flows reach the waters of the lake.
The seismic activity reflects the movements of new lava and its reaction and mix with the geothermal system, with a slight increase.

At Agung, the PVMBG noted few changes with a seismicity in very slight decrease on 2 October.
