In general, volcanic activity can be described as low, or in the norms these days.
In the Kurile archipelago, moderate activity continues on December 18 and 19 in Ebeko; explosions generate ash plumes 2 to 2.5 km high, which extend 8 to 10 km to the northeast or east of the volcano.

In Sabancaya, the week of December 11 to 17 is characterized by a downward volcanic activity, with an average of 55 explosions per day. Seismicity is mainly dominated by volcanic earthquakes.
The main danger is the possibility of lahars, and justifies a prohibited area of 12 km radius.
