Copious ash emissions continued at Etna on January 26, 2019: those responsible, the crater northeast and the Bocca Nuova, with fallout on the southeast side of the volcano.
Due to this eruption, air traffic was suspended at Fontanarossa airport in Catania from 26 at 1 pm until 27 at 11am.

The growth of the Merapi dome is linked on January 26 to 9 avalanche earthquakes , 3 blast earthquakes , 2 tectonic earthquakes and one of low frequency.
The south-easterly collapses on January 26 between 18h and 24 h, two in number, are characterized by a duration of 40 to 55 sec., observed on a course of 400 meters .
Between 0h and 18h local on January 27, two avalanches are reported, with a duration of 38 sec. approximately, and a 300 meters course.

In Kamchatka, Sheveluch continues its activity: it is characterized by the continuous growth and incandescence of the dome, a strong fumarolic activity, and avalanches of blocks.
An ash plume is reported on January 26 at 4,000-4,500 meters asl, drifting east and southeast of the volcano for more than 280 km.
