The Gunung Bromo still emits volcanic ash and gases. Eight villages in 2 subdistricts are subject to moderate ash falls; their inhabitants are forced to clean the roof of their house so that it is not overloaded. They protect themselves with multi-layered clothing and a nose cover during this activity.
Gray to black plumes are emitted at a height of between 600 and 1,000 meters above the crater.
At the seismology level, 12 earthquakes were recorded on March 21st, as well as a continuous tremor of dominant amplitude at 2 mm.

The Agung had an eruptive episode on March 21 at 0:18 WITA, recorded on the seismogram with a maximum amplitude of 23 mm and a duration of 1min. 47 sec.
The height of the plume could not be observed, due to top cover.
The volcano remains on alert level 3 / Siaga, with a danger zone of 4 km radius.
