The JMA reports an eruption at Sakurajima this 16 September from 7:46; it is accompanied by a gray plume at 2,800 meters above the crater Minamidake (3.900 m asl.). The plume moved southwest, with ash falls on Kagoshima and Minamikyushu, which can disrupt traffic.

Still on Kyushu, the eruption of the Aso volcano continues, with emissions of ash and gas to 300 meters above the crater Nakadake-1.

In Guatemala, the observatories record an increase in the explosive activity of Pacaya in recent days.
A plume of ash is observed on 14 September at 3,300 meters asl. Incandescent projections rise to 65-100 meters above the crater and cause moderate avalanches; two lava flows are fed and move north of the cone. Tremor is associated with degassing and Strombolian explosions.
Thermal anomalies are recorded by Mirova, of VRP 18 MW on 13.09 and VRP 2-3 MW on 14.09.2019
