The PVMBG mentions, at the seismicity level, 3 eruption earthquakes, two hybrid earthquakes, a low frequency earthquake, and a continuous tremor of dominant amplitude at 2 mm.

The Kuchinoerabujima, in the Ryukiu archipelago, was the site of a small explosion on February 9 at 9:50 a.m. local, with an ash plume rising 500 meters above the crater, before dispersing to the southeast.

- the Nevado del Ruiz, with a mass of 0.54 kt, north-northwest direction
