Cenapred reports that in the past 24 hours, nine exhalations have been identified at Popocatételt, accompanied by volcanic gases and sometimes small amounts of ash, as well as a moderate explosion, recorded on July 23 at 9:27 p.m.

In addition, 1348 minutes of tremor were counted, including 854 minutes of low amplitude and 494 minutes of moderate amplitude, accompanied by emission of steam, gas and low ash content, with heights up to 2000 meters, in a southwest direction; a slight fall of ash was reported in the following municipalities: Tetela del Volcán, Ocuituco, Atlatlahucán, Yecapixtla, Yautepec and Jiutepec (State of Morelos), as well as Juchitepec, Tepetlixpa, Atlautla, Ozumba and Ecatzingo (State of Mexico).

An incandescence was observed at night above the crater

Since dawn and until late morning, there is a constant emission of water vapor, gas and light amounts of ash dispersed to the southwest.

The Popocatépetl volcano has again marked by a low to medium amplitude tremor episode, accompanying the rise of magma and the construction of a dome.

The visibility by the cameras was affected by the rains so that the activity of the volcano is not visible except for the incandescence.

The alert level remains at Amarillo Phase 2

At Raung, on alert 2 / waspada, there have been weak to moderate thermal anomalies in recent days, accompanied by numerous tremor episodes.

Magma Indonesia reports for July 23:

- 25 eruption earthquakes, with an amplitude of 4 to 13 mm and an earthquake duration of 43 to 154 seconds.
- 298 non-harmonic tremor episodes, with an amplitude of 1 to 12 mm and an earthquake duration of 34 to 726 seconds.
- 2 distant tectonic earthquakes.

It is not recommended to be within a radius of 2 km from the crater.

The Copahue, at the Chilio-Argentina border, presented in this first part of July a low level seismic activity, but with an increase in the tremor, associated with the emission of particulate materials, and gas; These are signs of an instability of the volcanic system, associated with that of the hydrothermal system and a drop in the level of the crater lake;

The technical alert is passed to amarilla, and the possible assignment area to 1 km radius around the crater.

Also in Chile, the POVI reports that the Villarica infrared network shows this July 23 small sporadic and sound Strombolian explosions, from the depths of the crater.

The monitoring parameters show a low level of activity, marked however by diurnal passive degassing and night incandescence, accompanied by thermal anomalies detected by satellite.

The Sernageomin notices that the behavior of the lava lake fluctuates, and that its location near the surface causes minor explosions that can affect the surroundings of the crater.
