Finally, the IGP has warned that ash can cause environmental problems and affect people's health. In response, he recommended: protect your eyes with glasses and masks to avoid damage to the respiratory tract, that the competent authorities and institutions carry out a permanent assessment of the impact of ash on water , soil, air and human health.

The state of inflation of Mount Merapi, in Java, has recently been the subject of public debate.
