Mount Ili Lewotolok experienced a Strombolian eruptive episode on Monday February 7, 2022 at 00:10 WITA. No visual rash was observed. This eruption was recorded on a seismograph with a maximum amplitude of 12 mm and a duration of 22 seconds.

The seismicity of February 7 between 00 and 12h is characterized in total by:
- 6 eruption earthquakes
- 27 blast/emission earthquakes
- 10 episodes of non-harmonic tremors
- 5 harmonic episodes
- 1 hybrid / multiphase earthquake
- 5 deep volcanic earthquakes
- a continuous tremor episode with an amplitude of 0.2 to 5.8 mm, dominating 0.2 mm.

The activity level remains at 3 / siaga. Communities around Mount Ili Lewotolok as well as visitors/climbers/tourists are recommended not to engage in activities within 3 km of the summit/crater of Mount Ili Lewotolok. The community of Jontona Village should always be aware of the potential threat of avalanches of weathered material which may be accompanied by hot clouds from the southeastern part of G. Ili Lewotolok peak/crater.

Gunung Merapi erupted on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 3:12 p.m. WIB, with an ash column observed ± 600 m above the summit (± 3568 m above sea level). The ash column is observed to be gray with moderate to thick intensity towards the southwest. This eruption was recorded on a seismograph with a maximum amplitude of 47 mm and a duration of 129 seconds.

Hot avalanche clouds were recorded on February 6, 2022 at 4:35 p.m. WIB on a seismogram with an amplitude of 33 mm and a duration of 155 seconds. The glide distance is 2,000m to the Bebeng River. The wind direction is east.

This phenomenon repeated itself on February 6, 2022 at 5:13 p.m. WIB; they were recorded on a seismogram with an amplitude of 39 mm and a duration of 127 seconds. The slip distance is 1,800m to the Bebeng River. The wind direction is east.

The seismicity of February 7 , betwenn 00 and 12 h loc., is characterized by:

- 69 avalanche earthquakes
- 3 emission / blast earthquakes
- 1 distant tectonic earthquake

The activity level remains at 3 / siaga.

Current potential hazards are lava avalanches and hot clouds in the south-southwest sector covering Boyong River for up to 5 km, Bedog River, Krasak, Bebeng for up to 7 km. The southeast sector covers the Woro River for a maximum of 3 km and the Gendol River for a maximum of 5 km. Meanwhile, the ejection of volcanic material in the event of an explosive eruption can reach a radius of 3 km from the summit.

A small, short-lived (0.5 min) phreatic eruption occurred at Turrialba at 12:59 p.m. local time on February 6, 2022. An ash plume rose about 100 meters above the summit to the south- Where is.

Many low-frequency, low-magnitude LP-type earthquakes continue to be recorded. Magmatic gas concentrations remain around normal values ​​according to readings from the MultiGAS gas monitor located near the western crater, which detects SO2 between 1.9 and 11 ppm and CO2/SO2 ratios between 18 and 29.

The GPS network does not record any significant deformation of the volcanic edifice.
