The INGV monitoring networks recorded on 25.05.2022 at 14:11 UTC, an explosion of greater intensity than usual, from various mouths of the central-southern zone of the Stromboli crater terrace.
The activity produced a large emission of coarse pyroclastic material which covered part of the crater terrace and probably also reached Pizzo; the ash cloud produced moved towards the southern quadrants. The phenomenon ended after about four minutes.
On the seismic recording, there are 2 explosions with a total duration of about 2 minutes. Later, other low amplitude events are noted.
This major explosive event, like that of May 13, occurred following a phase with a very high CO2/SO2 ratio in the plume that had persisted for several months.

The Fuego volcano presented this May 25, from 5 to 8 hourly explosions of weak and moderate characteristics, as reported by INSIVUMEH.
Due to the activity recorded in the volcanic edifice, it presents columns of ash between 4,500 and 4,700 meters above sea level. They are moving north and northeast over a distance of about 25 kilometres.
Following the explosive activity, observers at Fuego Volcano report low, moderate, and loud rumblings with a shock wave that rattles the roofs and windows of houses around the volcano. Also, incandescent pulses from 300 to 400 meters above the crater; Weak, moderate and strong avalanches in the upper part of all barrancas.
INSIVUMEH reported that due to the direction of the wind, ash fell on Parramos, La Soledad and the departmental capital of Chimaltenango. There is a likelihood that ash will fall on Antigua Guatemala, Ciudad Vieja and the metropolitan area of Guatemala City, added the scientific entity of the CONRED system.

At Poas Volcano, no eruption is reported.
The seismic activity is higher this May 25, compared to the day before.
Convective activity in Laguna Caliente is very noticeable. The temperature of the hyperacidic lake was measured at 35°C (Flir SC660 camera)
Similarly, fumarolic activity on the N and NE inner walls of the active crater. While the SO2 concentration increased to 4.69 ppm, the CO2/SO2 ratio decreased to 1.40. The H2S/SO2 ratio is stable (0.09). Viewpoint peak SO2 concentrations were less than 0.4 ppm. The volcanic edifice is in deflation.

The extrusive-effusive eruption of the Bezymianny volcano continues, strong fumarole activity, and incandescence of the lava dome, and hot avalanches accompany this process. Strong hot avalanches on the eastern flank of the lava dome continue. A gas-steam plume with some amount of ash extends at an altitude of 3,000-3,500 m. 25 km northeast of the volcano.
The eruption continues. Ash explosions up to 10 km (32,800 ft) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect international and low-flying aircraft. The aviation code remains Orange.
