Sangay - thermal anomalies on 06.29.2022 / 03:15 - Doc. Mirova_MODIS_Latest10NTI

Sangay's internal and surface activity levels remain elevated, unchanged as of June 28, 2022 / 11:00 a.m.
Seismicity is characterized by 60 explosion earthquakes, 120 LP earthquakes, and 10 emission tremor episodes.
VAAC Washington reported gas and ash emissions ranging from 1,170 to 1,500 meters above crater level in a westerly and southwesterly direction.
MOUNTS Project reports 369.6 tonnes of SO2 for 2022-06-27 at 1:16 p.m.
The MIROVA system records 3 high thermal alerts (700, 574 and 508 MW) and 1 very high (1047 MW) during the last 24 hours.

Anak Krakatau - 2022.06.29 / 04:37 WIB - webcam Sertung PVMBG / Magma Indonesia

The PVMBG provides information on the activity of Anak Krakatau on June 29, 2022.

Two eruptive episodes occurred, respectively at 02:09 WIB and 04:36 WIB.

The first was not viewed; its recording on a seismogram leaves a trace of max. 60mm. For 24 seconds; The second was accompanied by a plume of ash and gas, thick and black, about 1,000 meters high above the summit (1,157 m. asl.)

This eruption was recorded on a seismograph with a maximum amplitude of 60 mm and a duration of 77 seconds.

The activity level remains at 3/siaga, with an orange aviation code and the recommendation: People/visitors/tourists/climbers do not approach Mount Anak Krakatau or engage in activities within 5 km from the active crater.

After the cessation of effusive activity in the Valle del Bove, on the night of June 15 to 16, no eruptive activity was observed on Etna.
During the week of June 20-26, 2022, activity was marked by pulsed degassing from the Bocca Nuova crater, fumarolic activity from various points on the Southeast crater, and modest fumarolic activity from the Northeast crater .
Low fracturing seismic activity is recorded; the average amplitude of the volcanic tremor remained in the average level.
Infrasonic activity was moderate.
Over the past week, ground deformation monitoring networks have not recorded any significant changes, confirming the trends already highlighted previously.

The flow of SO2 remained at an average level
The soil CO2 flux recorded last week shows a downward trend, settling on medium-low values
The thermal activity in the summit area was high level in correspondence with the effusive activity which ended on June 16th. In the following days, especially last week, the level was low.

Vulcano - gas measurements by teams of volcanologists - Doc. INGV 06.2022

Vulcano - gas measurements by teams of volcanologists - Doc. INGV 06.2022

The INGV reports weekly observations on Vulcano.
Temperature of the crater fumaroles: Along the upper edge, the maximum emission temperature has very stable values with a weekly average of 380°C (calculated on hourly data and unchanged from the previous week).
The fumarolic field presents equivalent emission temperatures over the entire summit fracture line, confirming a thermal anomaly still maintained by a substantial vapor flux (380-378°C). The sensor placed on the inner side requires additional field verification to identify the cause of the temperature drop.
Updated data from VSCS summit station for diffused heat flux still shows anomalous values in the range 51-63 watt/m², but with a negative trend from April.
The CO2 fluxes in the summit zone show a slight upward trend and settle again at values around 10000 g m²/g
The SO2 flux in the crater area is at a high and increasing level
The CO2 flux at the base of the La Fossa cone and in the Vulcano Porto area: The CO2 fluxes recorded in the C. Sicilia, Rimessa and P4max sites continue to show a slight downward trend, but remain on medium-high values; in the Faraglione site there are values close to the base.

Geochemistry of thermal aquifers: The temperature measured in the Camping Sicilia well is at high and stable values. The electrical conductivity shows low values, although slightly increasing.
The level values measured in the Bambara well show a moderate upward trend. Conductivity values continue to show a gradual decrease even though they remain at medium-high levels.
Low occurrence rate of local micro-seismicity.
Regional seismicity: Low fracturing seismicity associated with earthquakes with Ml >= 1.0.
The network of permanent GNSS stations has not registered any significant changes.

Monthly CO2 flux campaign: CO2 emissions in the Vulcano Porto area show no significant change compared to May and still remain at abnormal levels.

Monthly drilling campaign: we generally observe a stabilization of the contribution of fumarolic fluids to the thermal aquifer, which still remains at abnormal levels in certain sites for certain monitored parameters.
