In Chile, the Nevados de Chillan volcanic complex was rocked by numerous LP earthquakes, associated with internal fluid dynamics on July 29.
The Sernageomin reports an earthquake at 5:10 a.m. local, 4 earthquakes at 5:23 a.m. local, an earthquake at 8:33 a.m. local / 12:33 UTC which was accompanied by a plume at 780 meters above the point of emission, and another at 9:01 a.m. local .
The alert level remains at amarilla.

The JMA reported explosions in progress at the Ontake crater of Suwanosejima from July 19 to 26, as well as visible incandescence on certain nights at the crater.
There were 31 explosions recorded on July 22, after two days without an explosion. An explosion at 3 p.m. on July 23 produced an ash plume that rose 1.6 km and ejected bombs 200 m. The eruption plumes from July 23 to 26 reached 2.3 km; it was not known if any bombs had been thrown from the crater due to the weather conditions. The alert level remained at 3 and the public was warned to stay 2 km from the crater. (JMA via GVP)

For the day of July 29, the JMA reports an explosion at 4:46 p.m., with a plume at 3,300 m. above the crater. An explosion at 5:16 p.m. was accompanied by a plume at 1,100 m. above the crater. Another, at 10:27 p.m. was accompanied by a plume at 2,900 m. above the rim of the crater; the ashes fell on the northwest of the volcano, including a large quantity on the village of Toshima.
The Japan Meteorological Agency said: “It is unlikely that an eruption affecting more than 1 km from the crater will occur.
On the morning of the 29th, the eruption alert level was lowered from 3 to 2 / with restrictions in the crater area. However, large volcanic bombs are likely to fall within a radius of about 1 km from the crater. The activity continues.

The University of Iceland's Institute of Earth Sciences this week made new lava flow measurements released during the Fagradalsfjall volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes peninsula on July 27. Comparison with old data indicates that the power of the eruption increased again after a quiet period.
As the data from the July 19 in-flight survey is not fully comparable, the data is now compared to the overall mapping carried out on July 2. The average lava flow over the period July 2 - July 27 (25 days) is 11 m³ / s. For comparison, a closer look at the July 19 data, obtained with TF-FMS profile measurements and lava field signal measurements, indicates that the average flow rate is 2.-19. July was between 8 and 9 m³ / s. The figures for both measures are shown in the graph.
The lava emitted is now estimated at 109 million cubic meters and the covered area of 4.3 square kilometers. No lava has flowed in Geldingadalur, Nátthaga and Syðri Meradalir for more than three weeks as of July 27; the lavas emitted concern the valley of Meradalur.
A week ago, it was declared here that the rash was diminishing. The measurements of July 2 and 19 as well as the observations in Meradalir have shown this. But the latest measurement indicates that the lava flow has increased again, as the average thickness at Meradalir over the past 8-10 days has been around 1 meter per day. Therefore, there is no way now to predict the end of the rash.
