Quiet since early February, Etna issued yesterday an ash plume about 1,000 meters high at 03:05 p.m.; Origin seems to be at the Bocca Nuova. Two explosions were recorded by seismometers at 3:05 p.m. and 3:08 p.m., but the tremor plot shows no substantial variations. The values of SO2 are quite low.
In Peru, Ubinas volcano presented two explosions on April 10 at 4:24 & 5:50, accompanied by plumes amount 2000-2500 meters above the crater. Of phreatic in nature, they were violent. Ash fallout affected the southeast, and Ubinas valley 15 km. (INGEMMET)
