The eruption of the volcano Nishinoshima is being actively pursued nearly a year after he started.
In November 2013, an eruption produced a new island off Nishinoshima. Since it grows constantly, and joined the mother-island in late December 2013, according to the Japan Coast Guards.
She is about to completely encompass the former island ... the balance between the constructive eruption and the destructive erosion is clearly in favor of maintaining the island for several years at least.
Some aerial photos dated allow to see the evolution in recent months, with the evolution of the flows northward .
