An increased activity of Colima, Mexico, Friday in early evening, caused the evacuation of more than 80 people in the Becerrera region. The village of Yerbabuena, at the foot of the volcano, was covered by more than 5 cm. ash.

Saturday, July 11, an Overview of the volcano by the Proteccion Civil of Jalisco showed a significant degassing, moderately loaded in ashes. The fallout plume of ash and slumps are mainly on a west-southwest sector, and are reported on Zapotitlan de Vadillo and Carrizalillos.

In Guatemala, Fuego volcán continues its explosive activity accompanied by gas and ash plumes rising at an altitude of 4,500 m., Before dispersing for 10 km. O & N direction.

OVS / Osservatorio di e Vulcanologico Geologico Minerario Metallurgia reported, this 11 July, a series of five ash explosions of Ubinas, Peru, respectively, 9:39 for the most important, and 9:50, 10:02, 10:45, 11:03. The various plumes rose up to about 3000 meters above the crater (see video). The ashes were scattered toward the northeast.

Following the eruption of Raung, on Java island, five airports had to close;

Saturday, due to a change in wind direction, the airport of Bali could be reopened on Saturday morning, but closed again within 24 hours

After a late yesterday in clouds, Colima was discovered in the early hours this morning of 10 July.

The overflow of the dome generate incandescent materials
falls, primarily on the north and southwest sectors, the most important drive less than 2 km from the crater.

The Protección Civil of Colima believes that the most probable evolutionary scenario is a continued growth of the lava dome in the weeks and months, with continued collapses on the above sectors. A probability of lava flow formation is discussed and lahars in the ravines around the volcano during periods of rain and tropical cyclones.

The VSI has evaluated the activity of Dukono volcano / North Halmahera on alert level II / waspada since June 2008. The eruptions of ash that marked the activity of Gunung Dukono since 2003 are held at Malupang wariang Crater, one of many Dukono complex craters.

Note that among these craters, Tanah Lapang, Dilekene A dan B Malupang Magiwe (C) Telori (D), Heneowara (G), and Malupang Warirang, some are inactive.

Since June 2015, the volcano is continuous rumbling and white-gray plumes were observed commonly amount between 100 and 600 meters above the crater. At seismicity level, were recorded from 1 to 5 July 3 earthquakes and continuous tremor of a maximum amplitude of 34 mm, and a general downward trend.

Aktudas indicates on Juli 7 an increase in the level of tremor from 25 mm, on July 2, to 27 mm, on July 3, according to local observer at the observation post of Gunung Raung, Burthan Alethea, in line with increased activity volcanic.

Ash falls are recorded on the hamlet Mangaran Sumberarum Songgon Banyuwangi. Ash cloud is moving towards the southeast, disrupting flights to Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar on the island of Bali.

In Flores Sea, 50 km north of the island of Lembata, the island-volcano Batu Tara is active for years, and is considered as the "Stromboli from the East" because of its type of persistent activity and his morphology.

Visited more regularly by the tour operator VolcanoDiscovery, Batu Tara has this July 3, 2015 a rare and spectacular pyroclastic flow which, after descending the notched side of the volcano, has traveled some 150 meters of the sea. According to Tom Pfeiffer, she was caused by the collapse of the eruption column and materials accumulated on the edge of the crater, following a strong explosion.

When these pyroclastic flows, formed from a high temperature mixture of solid particles and of volcanic gases expanding, advancing on the marine environment, their bottom turns water into steam.
The rapid expansion of the water vapor increases the fluidity of the flows and prevents the deposits of low density particles.
This extreme mobility was recognized during the 1902 eruption, where the lava of Mount Pelee burned the ships anchored in the harbor of Saint Pierre, several kilometers from the coast, and the recovery of the eruption of Krakatau in 1883, where pyroclastic flows traveled 45 km. reaching the coast of Sumatra, north-east of the volcano (link "Ca bouge au Krakatau").

In the Lesser Sunda Islands, Sirung volcano has been qet on orange aviation alert level by the VAAC Darwin, based on data from MTSAT-2 and HIMAWARI-8.

The Sirung is located at the northeastern end of a line of volcanic centers 14 km long, which forms a peninsula south of Pantar Island.

This low volcano, 862 meters high, is truncated by a caldera 2,000 meters wide; the floor is occupied by one or more acidic lakes. This site was the seat of phreatic eruptions in the 20th century; the last eruption, probably of phreatic nature,  took place in May 2012.

In Mexico, there has been in Colima several collapses of incandescent blocks in the day of July 7, thanks to the webcam of Mexico.

The Twitter page reports that: "The actividad reciente puede deberse has Derrumbes del frente de un nuevo de lava flujo / Recent activity may be due to landslides face a new lava flow.."

 

To the Piton de la Fournaise, and in lack of news from OVPF, a return to calm of the volcano seems to emerge since Tuesday.

As in April-May this year, La Fournaise takes his time ... and The Prefecture can not maintain the alert level 1 and the prohibition of access if the quiet persists.

Nishinoshima: opening of a new crater

The research ship "Akihiro", in the area, note the changes in the volcanic activity of the island-volcano.

A new crater formed on the northeast slope of the active cone.
The plume that characterized the summit crater end of June is no more present, and white fumaroles appeared on a northeast side fissure and covering the new crater.

A false-color image (top) was acquired on June 21, 2015, by the Operational Land Imager (OLI) on Landsat 8. It combines shortwave infrared, near infrared, and green light (OLI bands 7-5-3). With this band combination, the plume of steam and sulfur dioxide appears white. Sea water is navy blue, and hot spots of lava are red. The lava is flowing toward the southeast part of the island through tubes that prevent OLI from detecting it until it emerges in a lava delta at the edge of the island. The natural-color image (below) was acquired by OLI at the same time as the image above. That band combination allows for an image with higher spatial resolution.

In Guatemala, Fuego volcano is always active with two to three small explosions every hour, accompanied by ash plumes rising to an altitude of 4,500 m asl before dispersing to the southeast and west. Ash falls were reported on Panimaché I and II, Morelia, Santa Sofia and their surroundings. Among the explosions, a plume of steam is maintained at an altitude of about 4,100 m asl.

Tungurahua / Ecuador presented a small ash emission on July 3, with ash fall on Choglontús. On sismicity level, there are 15 earthquakes LP / Long period / day.

On Java, the Raung is on alert level III, and now forbidden to climb from June 29.

The PVMBG reports that the amplitude of the volcanic tremor continues to grow.

A seismic swarm began on 30 June at 21h on the Reykjanes Ridge, 30 km southwest of the Reykjanes peninsula in Iceland. The most important shocks were M5,0 the 01.07 to 2:25, and at 4:59 the M4,9 01.07.

This activity is centered on the rock of Eldey and pushed the IMO / Icelandic Meteorological Office to increase the aviation alert level to yellow for this volcano. These seismic swarms are customary and do not open more often a rash ... but it remains a possibility of submarine or surteseyan eruption.

The Eldey volcano, a rock 77 meters high, consists of basaltic hyaloclastites, is located on a small shallow ridge. He is known to have an eruptive activity twice in a century.Il home to a large colony of gannets.

The JMA has raised the alert level on three for Hakoneyama, on 30 June at 12:30 JST, with restriction of the approach area.

After an intensification in late April, the area had shown signs of easing justifying a level 2. The increase of the level follows a 3.3 M earthquake Tuesday at 6:56, and the fear of cinder fall in a presumed radius 700 meters around an area where a new crater is formed.

On Monday, a swarm of volcanic earthquakes (140 in 20 h) occurred in relation to magmatic movements or hydrothermal system disturbances.

Ash falls have been confirmed in the vicinity of the cable car station Owakudani

A new eruptive phase began this June 28 to Fuego volcano / Guatemala, with 4-5 explosions per hour, audible at a distance of 25 km., and ash plumes rising to 4,600 meters, drifting to the west of the volcanic complex. Shock waves rocked the roofs and windows of Panimache, Panimache II, Morelia, Santa Sofia, Sangre de Cristo, and rock falls are recorded around the crater.

The activity remains intense this 30.06 on a photo transmitted by Shérine France.

The Gunung Colo, which forms the small island of Una Una in the middle of the Gulf of Tomini in North Sulawesi, saw its alert level rose to II / Waspada by the VSI on June 24.

It is the only Indonesian volcano to possess a geyser in its wide caldera 2,000 meters wide. Only three eruptions have been recorded during the historical period, but two of them have caused considerable damage to Una Una. The latest, in 1983, produced pyroclastic flows that covered much of the little island after the evacuation of all residents.

An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 was recorded on Tuesday near the island of Jan Mayen in the Norwegian Sea, along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge 650 km northeast of Iceland.

Its epicenter was located at a depth of 10 km. and only 10 km from the island that consists of two volcanic complex separated by a narrow isthmus. The largest volcano and the highest point of Jan Mayen is the basaltic stratovolcano Beerenberg topping at 2.277 meters; his last eruption is in January 1985.

The visual parameters and seismicity remain alarming to Sinabung.

According BNPB, 116 avalanches occurred Sunday, and pyroclastic flows reached 3,000 to 3,500 meters to the southeast, along with a co-pyroclatic cloud amount to 3,000 meters.

This Monday, June 19, 67 avalanches were recorded in mid-day.The 7:18 p.m. pyroclastic flow traveled 3,000 meters, sprinkling ash village Kabanjahe.

The BNPB concluded his report by adding that in such conditions, the rash may last for some time yet.

Life isn't good for volcano's neighbors !

At present, the number of refugees amounted to 3,150 families, or 10,645 people. Among these, a particularly vulnerable group has 780 elderly people, 76 pregnant women and 967 infants and young children.

With the repetition of pyroclastic flows, the residents living on agriculture have to leave their land ... some refuse, others insist to quickly return to their villages, where is their livelihood, despite the danger. For some, their house was destroyed ... and the reconstruction means lacking: people would be willing to live farther away from the volcano, but it takes money to move out and start from zero, which means sell first the house, that nobody wants to buy.

The ash emitted by the Sinabung paralyze the economic activities, particularly affecting farmers and planters. Nearly 47,000 hectares are damaged. The greatest damage occurred in the chili and citrus plantations, preventing and destroying crops. Total loss and damage reached in these sectors 817 billion Rupiah (over 100 million $).

In Ecuador, the activity of Reventador is considered as high. Observation shows low energy vapor emissions, but the thermal camera show a lava pouring on the southeast flank. The rains generated lahars.

Seismic activity is made of 35 explosions, 19 earthquakes LP and 10 episodes of tremor-related to emissions.

Volcanic activity of Reventador, Wolf, Raung and Sinabung.

On Isabela, in the Galapagos, the combination of thermal , digital and satellite images from the observations performed between May 29 and June 12, has allowed to establish a map of the areas covered by lava flows since the beginning of the eruption of Wolf volcano. It remains provisional, since lava outpourings continue in the caldera, where flows have covered much of intra-caldera lavas issued in 1982.

On the island of Java, the level of Raung alert was raised to III / Siaga this June 29, 2015 at 9 am by the local PVMBG. Eruptions remain minor and concern within the caldera. Local populations are not endangered, 3 km zone around the summit being uninhabited.
